Dear Academy of Dallas Charter School’s Community:

With the increased media coverage and public concern surrounding the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), I wanted to share some important information in our effort to ensure that everyone stays healthy. The risk to our school district and community is low–and through these efforts and with your support, we expect it to remain low. Therefore, we encourage our students to follow good hygiene habits daily. We also continue to clean and disinfect all areas of our facilities regularly, and hand sanitizer is available in all classrooms, as recommended by the State Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control, to help minimize the spread of any viruses or illnesses. The best way to keep ourselves healthy is to follow regular hygiene procedures:

    • always wash your hands
    • avoid close contact with others who are sick
    • avoid touching your face with unwashed hands
    • routinely clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
